Spurs transfer news: Ivan Gazidis wants Mauricio Pochettino at AC Milan

Former Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis sees Mauricio Pochettino as the perfect replacement for Gennaro Gattuso at AC Milan, according to Corriere della Sera (h/t Calciomercato).

The report claims that Gattuso has a job on his hands to secure Champions League qualification.

AC Milan lost the derby to Inter and now sit in the fourth Champions League spot just one point ahead of Atalanta.

Milan don’t have it easy in their next two fixtures with games against Juventus and Lazio. The Eagles lie four points behind Milan and have a game in hand on them.

Pochettino not interested in a move away

The report adds that the Tottenham manager isn’t “keen” on moving away from the club and abandoning his project.

Tottenham also took a major step in the right direction as they moved into their new home in midweek.

Son Heung-min and Christian Eriksen scored the goals in the win over Crystal Palace, and hopefully, we win all our games till the end of the season.

Spurs have some tough clashes coming up and Pochettino has to get his team selection right. The Argentine played Dele Alli deeper than usual against Palace.

Danny Rose also played on the wide left and this was a decent performance from the Englishman after playing in a similar role in the second half at Anfield.
