Spurs transfer news: Fulham want £40m for Tottenham target Ryan Sessegnon
Ryan Sessegnon is one of the best youngsters in the English leagues but is set to return to the Championship after one season in the top flight.
The 18-year-old struggled to make a consistent impression this season with just two goals and six assists in the league and has been linked with Tottenham.
The English youngster has been great for the England U21 side but is yet to play for the senior side.
Sessegnon is out of contract at the end of the next season, and the Daily Mail claims that Fulham are looking at £40m for the 18-year-old sensation.
The Englishman can play as a winger or as a left-back and has the potential to be one of the best in the league.
However, the report adds that Mauricio Pochettino faces a bit of a stumbling block with Spurs interested in paying closer to £25m for Sessegnon.
Sessegnon attracting interest from abroad
Paris Saint-Germain are also interested in Sessegnon, but the report suggests that Spurs are the most “advanced” in their efforts to lure the talent away from Craven Cottage.
Sessegnon has been a long-term target for Spurs, and Fulham are resigned to losing their star as they were relegated from the Premier League (h/t Daily Mail).
The 18-year-old needs to be under the right manager to fulfil his potential and Pochettino is the best in working with young talent.
