Spurs transfer news: Nicolo Zaniolo could sign new deal with AS Roma
Il Tempo (h/t Calciomercato) claims that AS Roma are confident that starlet Nicolo Zaniolo will sign a new deal with the Serie A giants, which would keep him out of the clutches of two clubs.
The report claims that Juventus and Tottenham are interested in the 19-year-old, who has done well this season.
The Italy international has scored six times this season and has two assists to his name as well. The report adds that the new deal could be signed in the next few weeks.
There was interest from German giants Bayern Munich too, and the report claims that the Bavarians saw a €40m bid get rejected by Roma.
Zaniolo already playing for national side
The youngster joined AS Roma as a part of the deal that saw Radja Nainggolan switch to Inter Milan.
The 19-year-old attacker can play in several positions up front and has also made a couple of appearances for the national side this season.
The Italian has a bright future ahead of him, and it would be great if we can land him. However, Roma seem to be serious about keeping their star at the moment, and it will be interesting to see how things progress in the coming weeks.
