Spurs transfer news: Aaron Wan-Bissaka to remain at Crystal Palace next season

Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been one of the standout performers for Crystal Palace this season.

The 21-year-old right-back has become the first-choice under Roy Hodgson and Tottenham are interested in the Englishman, according to Football.london.

The report claims that Arsenal and Manchester United are keeping tabs on the 21-year-old, however, the defender seems keen on remaining at Selhurst Park.

Football.london adds that Wan-Bissaka signed a new deal just 12 months ago, but sees his immediate future at the Eagles:

“The situation just shows that my performances don’t go unnoticed,” he said. (h/t Football.london).

“But I am with Crystal Palace at the moment. That is where my contract is and that is where I will be next season

“I have got three years left on my contract.”

A big blow for Tottenham’s plans?

The 21-year-old has played 33 Premier League games this season and has a couple of assists to his name.

Wan-Bissaka remaining at Palace makes sense for regular playing time, but this would be a problem for Tottenham.

Kieran Trippier is being linked with a move away from Spurs, and the club even rejected a bid from Napoli for the Englishman’s services (h/t Daily Star).

Wan-Bissaka would be a decent option to replace Trippier, and the youngster has the potential to develop into a better player under Mauricio Pochettino.

Tottenham need to make some quality signings for the upcoming season, and Wan-Bissaka certainly fits that bill.
