Spurs transfer news: Nicolas Tagliafico will remain at Ajax for another season
The Argentine left-back has been excellent for Ajax this season, and the report adds that Arsenal and Atletico Madrid are also interested in the 26-year-old.
The report claims that Tagliafico has stated he will remain with the Dutch side for another season.
The 26-year-old wants to continue his form from this season as the team could reach the Champions League final and win the Eredivisie.
Spurs get a close look at Tagliafico
Tottenham saw the Argentine in action in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final in the 1-0 loss to the Dutch side.
Tagliafico has five goals and four assists this season for Ajax and even played for the national side in the World Cup.
The 26-year-old can also play as a central defender, and would have made a great signing for Spurs.
Mauricio Pochettino can call upon Danny Rose and Ben Davies as the senior left-backs, but Tagliafico would have added more competition for the starting spot.
Spurs first have to navigate the second leg of the Champions League semi on Wednesday. The team lost to Bournemouth and ended the game with nine men.
