Spurs transfer news: Mauricio Pochettino to snub AC Milan and remain at Tottenham for transfer window

Mauricio Pochettino wants to remain at Tottenham and will not move to AC Milan next season, according to the Sun (h/t Calciomercato).

The Argentine has led Spurs to the Champions League semi-final and we almost certain of finishing in the top four in the Premier League this season.

The report adds that Pochettino has “expressed” his desire to remain at the club as they look to make moves in the transfer market.

Tottenham haven’t signed a player in two windows, and it will be interesting to see who we move for once this season comes to an end.

Ivan Gazidis, the former Arsenal head and now AC Milan CEO, prefers Pochettino at the Italian giants (h/t Calciomercato).

However, it would be tough to pry Pochettino away from London, and the report adds that Antonio Conte would be easier to sign since he is a free agent.

Tottenham’s season has been mixed

Pochettino is one of the best managers in football and he needs backing in the transfer window.

The Argentine has performed a miracle by leading Spurs to the Champions League semis, but the domestic campaign has been hit and miss.

There have been several high points but Spurs have lost 13 games in the Premier League. Tottenham have also been handicapped as most of their senior players picked up injuries throughout the campaign.

Tottenham can make the final of the Champions League if they overturn a 1-0 deficit from the first leg, and that would be another fantastic achievement by Poch.
