Spurs transfer news: Juventus chief speaks with Daniel Levy regarding Mauricio Pochettino
Italian journalist Nicolo Schira claims that Juventus director Fabio Paratici has spoken with Daniel Levy about signing Mauricio Pochettino for the Serie A giants.
Juventus have dominated the Serie A but parted ways with manager Max Allegri at the end of this season.
Juve have struggled to get things right in Europe and were knocked out by Ajax in the Champions League this season.
Allegri led them to two finals but the Old Lady lost both of them. Schira claims that Paratici wants Pochettino at the Serie A clun, and the deal could take place if a player is thrown into the mix.
The journalist tweeted (h/t Daily Star):
“The presence of Fabio Paratici in London is not at all random. The first direct talks with Levy and Tottenham [have been held] to try to get Mauricio Pochettino.
“The Spurs wall can fall, in fact, by buying a player, as compensation for the Argentine coach.”
An interesting move to sign Pochettino
The Daily Star claims that Tottenham held off interest from Real Madrid and Manchester United earlier this season as they held on to Pochettino.
The Argentine has done a great job in taking us to the Champions League final where we face Liverpool on 1st June.
Juventus’ offer of throwing a player into the deal certainly is interesting, but we cannot afford to lose the Argentine under any circumstance.
What Pochettino has achieved at Tottenham, on a limited budget, is incredible and we could top it all off by winning the Champions League too.

The Argentine has made us Champions League regulars and we are getting better with each season under him. Now, we need to back the manager in the transfer market as we need to reach the next level soon.
