Latest Spurs news: Mauricio Pochettino wants to stay at Tottenham but needs more information on the future

Mauricio Pochettino has claimed that Spurs are the best in the world and wants to remain at the club.

Speaking to Talk Sport radio, the Argentine also spoke about the need for some backing from Daniel Levy as Tottenham try to fight for the Premier League crown.

The Telegraph claims that Pochettino’s future was in doubt after the 3-2 win over Ajax in the semi-finals of the Champions League, however, the Argentine wanted more from the side in the coming seasons (h/t Telegraph):

“Our ambition is to win the Premier League one day. If Daniel Levy gives us the continuity and the hope to have the possibility to fight to win the Premier League or the Champions League or be a real contender… it’s a lot to achieve.”

The manager added that Tottenham are great and spoke about how the city of London is the best too:

“Today Tottenham is for me the best club in the world. When we talk about facilities, this training ground of the stadium which is the best in the world – there is no better club.

“When it’s London – there is no better city. In England, the Premier League, the most tough and exciting league.”

Motivation to stay at Tottenham

Pochettino is one of the best managers in the world, and it would be difficult for anyone to replicate what he has done at our club over the past years.

The Argentine added that he was “so motivated to stay” at Tottenham but wanted to “know the ideas” of Levy in the coming years.

Spurs have not spent in two transfer windows but can win the Champions League trophy on 1st June.
