Latest Spurs news: Mauricio Pochettino provides positive update on Harry Kane

Mauricio Pochettino provided a positive update on star striker Harry Kane ahead of the Champions League final.

The Englishman hasn’t played for us since the win over Manchester City in April but has returned from his ankle ligament injury.

Harry Kane, Jan Vertonghen and Davinson Sanchez

The striker has trained with the first-team and Pochettino added that the Englishman has done well and Spurs would decide what his role could be in the final (h/t Express):

“Harry Kane in the last week, Friday and Saturday, started to be involved in the group, it’s a very positive situation for him.

“We will wait and see how he is progressing in his problem.”

Kane returning would be a huge boost for the team as we need all our firepower to break down the Liverpool defence.

The Reds were exceptional in the Premier League campaign, and Moussa Sissoko was also confident of the team doing well.

Sissoko not fazed by facing Reds

Liverpool won both the Premier League clashes against us this season and finished miles ahead of us in the table too.

However, Sissoko wasn’t worried about facing the Reds and highlighted how Spurs had done well throughout the campaign (h/t Express):

“I am not scared of Liverpool or any team.

“We all need to challenge and we have to give our best and if we do it, we can beat any team. In the past we have showed it.”

Tottenham have picked up impressive wins over Manchester City and Ajax in the knockout rounds while we also survived a group featuring Inter Milan and Barcelona.

Liverpool might have finished the season far ahead of us in the table, however, we can beat any side on our day, with or without Kane.
