Spurs transfer news: Manchester United enquire about Giovani lo Celso
Marca (h/t Football.london) reports that Manchester United have enquired about Argentine sensation Giovani lo Celso.
The 23-year-old joined Real Betis on loan from Paris Saint-Germain and after a great season signed permanently for the La Liga side.
The report claims that Real Madrid are also interested in the attacking midfielder, and the player has a €100m release clause in his contract.
Betis signed Lo Celso for €3m and paid €22m to finalise his move, and the report claims that the La Liga side could make a tidy sum by selling the Argentine even though they owe PSG 20% of his sell-on fee.
Spurs make big bid for Lo Celso
The report adds that Tottenham have bid €60m for the 23-year-old, and the Argentine will head-off with the national side for the Copa America.
The youngster did a great job at Betis scoring 16 goals and providing five assists in all competitions.
Lo Celso can play out wide and his versatility could be a huge plus under Mauricio Pochettino.
The Tottenham manager likes to mix things up regarding the formation and player positions and the Betis star could develop further under Poch.
Spurs need to sign more attacking talent as several players have picked up injuries this season or have been away on international duty.
