Latest Spurs news: Tottenham players look relaxed ahead of Champions League final

The day is almost here when Tottenham can lift the Champions League title for the first time.

Saturday sees us face Liverpool in the final at the Wanda Metropolitano, and what an incredible ride it has been for the team from London.

Injuries, late goals, drama, VAR calls and an improbable comeback, this Champions League season has been unpredictable and unbelievable for Spurs.

Just one day remains for the final and the Tottenham players looked relaxed in training while soaking the sun in Madrid.

It will be interesting to see what attack Mauricio Pochettino fields as Harry Kane is back in the team.

We have been carried to the finals of the Champions League thanks to Son Heung-min’s efforts against Manchester City and Lucas Moura doing his bit with a hat-trick against Ajax.

The pair were pictured in training and could start on Saturday with Kane on the bench.

Additionally, Dele Alli could be another important player for us on Saturday. The Englishman hasn’t had a great season, but the Champions League final could see him turn up in the biggest game of the campaign.

Another player making a return from injury is Harry Winks, and it will be interesting to see what role he has for Saturday’s final.

The defence has to hold firm

Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen should be the first-choice pairing in the heart of the defence on Saturday.

They know each other extremely well and their experience will be needed to keep Liverpool from scoring.

Moussa Sissoko is another star from this season who could do his magic on Saturday. It would be the perfect way to end the campaign for the Frenchman after his troubles since signing from Newcastle United years ago.
