Latest Spurs news: Mauricio Pochettino gets his wish for squad photos granted by UEFA

The Mirror reports that UEFA have accepted Mauricio Pochettino’s wish for the substitutes to also be pictured ahead of the Champions League final.

This season, both finalists of the Champions League can name 12 substitutes on the bench.

Pochettino was upset that the subs would not be featured in a photograph despite the possibility of them playing a huge role in the final, according to the Mirror.

The report adds that UEFA released a statement regarding a second photo opportunity with all the players for each side to be included.

“After the teams’ line-up and handshake with the referees, two team photo opportunities will be offered – the first one with the players in the starting line-up, and the second one with all of the substitute players joining the players in the starting line-up on the pitch.”

Tottenham looking at glory against Liverpool

The Champions League final features Liverpool taking on Tottenham at the Wanda Metropolitano.

Pochettino has to make a couple of tough decisions regarding his starting XI, with Harry Kane and Harry Winks returning from injury.

The pair could feature on the bench too as we need to play with the best possible side against the Reds. The Argentine has done some fantastic work since taking over from Southampton, and a trophy would certainly help us end the season on a high.
