Spurs transfer news: Real Madrid may not move for Christian Eriksen due to lack of sales
The Daily Mail reports that Real Madrid will not buy Christian Eriksen or Paul Pogba unless they make €150million from player sales in the summer.
The Spanish giants have been busy in recent weeks, signing Eden Hazard and Luka Jovic, while they should sign Ferland Mendy from Lyon soon, according to the report.
Zinedine Zidane wants a new midfielder but Madrid are keeping an eye on how FFP rules apply to them, and the report claims that renovating the Santiago Bernabeu will cost around €400million.
Real need to sell before buying in the summer, and the Spanish giants see Eriksen as an easier deal when compared to Pogba.
Levy wants huge amount for Eriksen
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy wants €100million for the Dane despite Eriksen having just one year left on his current deal, according to the report.
Almost every Real player is on sale but Spurs cannot sign Gareth Bale due to his substantial wages (h/t Daily Mail).
The report adds that Bale wants to remain in Spain, and it is going to be an interesting summer for the La Liga giants.
Real not being able to move for Eriksen is a boost to our hopes of keeping the Dane. The 27-year-old is one of the most creative players in the Premier League and will improve in the future.

Mauricio Pochettino has to keep hold of his best players and Eriksen falls under that category.
