Spurs transfer news: Christian Eriksen doesn’t want to talk about his future any more

Christian Eriksen did not want to speak about his future when he was questioned while playing for Denmark.

The Tottenham midfielder spoke earlier in the week where he claimed he wanted to “try something new” after the Champions League final loss to Liverpool (h/t Guardian).

The Dane also claimed that Real Madrid would be a “step up” but it was up to the La Liga giants to make contact with Spurs (h/t Guardian).

However, the Tottenham midfielder was asked about his future given the reports that Zinedine Zidane has cooled his interest in the Dane (h/t Football.london).

The 27-year-old was quoted by Ekstra Bladet (h/t Football.london) saying that it was time for a vacation and he wasn’t going to speak more about his future:

“The focus is on vacation, and I’ve said what needed to be said. No more bombs this time around. We are waiting a bit with that.”

Real Madrid turn attention to other players

The report claims that Real are interested in other players such as Paul Pogba, but other European giants are keeping tabs on Eriksen.

Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and Juventus are interested in the 27-year-old, according to the report. Eriksen has just one year left on his current deal and it will be interesting to see what happens with the creative midfielder in the summer.

Getting him to sign a new deal would be the best outcome, however, we should look to get the most out of his sale if he wants to leave Spurs.
