Spurs transfer news: Lorenzo Pellegrini open to playing for Tottenham

Calciomercato reports that Tottenham and Arsenal have been alerted as Lorenzo Pellegrini’s agent is in London.

The AS Roma attacking midfielder enjoyed a decent season with the Serie A club and managed to score four goals and provide six assists.

The 22-year-old Italy international wants Champions League football next season, and is open to playing for Tottenham, according to the report.

Spurs reached the final of the Champions League but narrowly lost out to Liverpool. The report claims that the Italian is ready to play for Arsenal too despite the Gunners only making it to the Europa League.

Inter Milan are also interested in the 22-year-old, according to Calciomercato, and the youngster has a release clause of just €35m.

Roma want to hand Pellegrini a new deal to remove that release clause, and the report adds that they want to make him the vice-captain too.

Pellegrini not the only Roma player Spurs are interested in

Tottenham have been linked with another Roma star in recent months too.

Nicolo Zaniolo was one of the other stars for the Serie A giants last season, and Calciomercato adds that we are interested in the Italian.

Zaniolo and Pellegrini would be great additions to the team, and it will be interesting to see if we can land either of them.
