Spurs transfer news: Zidane wants Pogba at Real Madrid and not Eriksen
L’Equipe (h/t Sky Sports) claims that Paul Pogba does not want to stay at Manchester United and is seeking an exit in the summer.
The World Cup winner struggled last season under Jose Mourinho and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and the report claims that he wants to join Real Madrid but could also return to former club Juventus.
On the other hand, Real manager Zinedine Zidane wants to bring Pogba to the club, according to the report, and there is some good news for Tottenham.
The report claims that Real Madrid officials tried to convince Zidane to move for midfielder Christian Eriksen, however, the Frenchman wants Pogba at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Tottenham need to keep Eriksen
The Danish midfielder recently claimed that he wanted a new challenge after the Champions League defeat to Liverpool.
However, should a move to Real not take place, we should try to get Eriksen to sign a new deal.
The Dane is one of the best in the world and Tottenham have been on the up under Mauricio Pochettino.
The one thing missing under the Argentine is a trophy, and hopefully, that will change in the coming campaign.
