The report adds that London rivals Arsenal are also interested in the Danish centre-back. Andersen was impressive for Sampdoria in the Serie A and could be a great signing if bought for the right price.
The youngster has the potential to develop further, and it will be interesting to see if he is on the move this summer.
Tottenham could do with another centre-back coming into the team, even if Alderweireld is not sold. The Belgian was the only defender who did not suffer a major injury last season as the others missed chunks of the campaign.
Juan Foyth did a decent job when called upon, but he still needs to improve before the Argentine can be seen as a replacement for Alderweireld or Jan Vertonghen in the starting XI.
Spurs already dealing with Lyon
Tottenham are already in negotiations with the French club over 22-year-old midfielder Tanguy Ndombele (h/t Evening Standard).
