Spurs transfer news: AC Milan trying to sign Dani Ceballos on a two-year deal

Gazzetta dello Sport (h/t Calciomercato) claims that AC Milan’s top executives will try to negotiate a deal for Dani Ceballos.

The Real Madrid starlet is away on U21 Euro duty with Spain, and the report adds that Milan see the 22-year-old as a prime target but only in the right deal.

The report adds that Milan met with representatives from Real this week and discussed deals for five players.

However, Ceballos is the focus for Milan, and the report claims that the Spaniard is valued at €45m-€50m, which is a problem for the Italian giants.

Milan want to sign the youngster on a two-year loan deal with Ceballos possibly joining after the spell, according to the report.

Tottenham have also been linked with the Spanish star, and it will be interesting to see where Ceballos lands up next season.

Tottenham could lose one star for Ceballos

The Spanish star fell down the pecking order under Zinedine Zidane and was offered to Tottenham by the La Liga side in a deal for Christian Eriksen (h/t Sun).

The Dane is out of a contract at the end of the season and is yet to sign a new deal with Spurs.

Ceballos is a star for the future but isn’t on the same level as Eriksen. The Spaniard can play as a central attacking midfielder and can do a job on the wings too.

Real were offering a decent sum and Ceballos for Eriksen, and accepting that deal would be better than losing the Dane on a free.
