Spurs transfer news: Tottenham confident of completing move for Ryan Sessegnon
The Daily Mail reports that Tottenham are confident of landing Fulham star Ryan Sessegnon.
The English star struggled to perform last season as Fulham were relegated back to the Championship.
The 19-year-old scored two goals and provided six assists for the Cottagers in the previous campaign, but it was not his best season.
The report claims that Tottenham have targeted the English sensation for the past few windows, but the problem has been with Fulham’s valuation.
Tottenham value the English youngster at £25million, however, Fulham want close to £45m for Sessegnon (h/t Daily Mail).
The English sensation was offered a contract extension by Fulham, but he rejected that due to the interest from Borussia Dortmund and Spurs (h/t Daily Mail).
The 19-year-old decided to remain with Fulham in the previous summer window, according to the report.
Sessegnon would be a great signing for Tottenham given his versatility. The English starlet can play as a left-back or on the left side of the attack.
Mauricio Pochettino has a penchant to work well with young talents, and Sessegnon could reach another level under the Argentine manager.
Spurs looking to complete another deal
The report claims that Spurs are close to landing another young English talent in Jack Clarke. The winger broke into the Leeds United first-team last season and is set for a medical with Spurs.
