Spurs transfer news: Jack Clarke passes medical ahead of move to Tottenham

Sky Sports have confirmed that Leeds United winger Jack Clarke has passed his medical at Tottenham.

The 18-year-old was one of the surprise packages under Marcelo Bielsa as Leeds missed out on Premier League promotion.

Clarke played 25 games for Leeds in all competitions but started five of them. He did manage two goals and two assists under the Argentine manager.

The report adds that an £8.5m deal is in the works, and a few details are set to be sorted before the move is made official.

Tottenham have revived their interest in the English youngster after having watched him during the winter window (h/t Sky Sports).

The 18-year-old has loads of potential and seems to be the perfect player for Mauricio Pochettino to work with.

Clarke should be our first signing since Lucas Moura joined from Paris Saint-Germain, and the Leeds star isn’t the only player we are close to bagging.

Ndombele closes in on move too

Sky Sports adds that Lyon’s Tanguy Ndombele is also set to join Spurs in a club record deal.

Ndombele was one of the best in Ligue 1 last season as he helped Lyon finish third behind PSG and Lille.

The French midfielder should be the replacement for Mousa Dembele, and at 22, has several years at the top of the game left in him.
