Spurs transfer news: Leyton Orient reject £300,000 offer from Tottenham for Daniel Happe

The Sun reports that Tottenham have seen a £300,000 offer rejected for Leyton Orient’s Daniel Happe.

The centre-back played a huge role in Orient’s return to the Football League last season, and the 20-year-old has also garnered interest from other clubs (h/t Sun).

The report claims that Leicester, Leeds United and Norwich are also interested in the centre-back.

Happe is compared to Leicester’s Harry Maguire, and the report claims that the youngster has just one year left on his current deal. The report adds that Orient are resigned to losing one of their stars, and they want to get a better deal for the 20-year-old.

Orient would also want to see Happe back at the club for a season on loan, and it will be interesting to see if we make another bid for the 20-year-old.

Tottenham have already signed a couple of players, and we need to add a few more players before the start of next season.

A smart move for a player with potential

Happe could be a decent player in the coming years, and spending £300,000 for a star in the making isn’t a bad deal.

The centre-back still has a long way to go before he can play Premier League football, but we have struck gold with Dele Alli, who also made his way from the lower divisions.
