Spurs transfer news: Eric Dier one of several players with an uncertain Tottenham future
The Daily Star reports that Eric Dier is one of several Tottenham players with an uncertain future.
Tottenham have made a couple of signings already in the summer, with midfield enforcer Tanguy Ndombele joining from Lyon.
The Frenchman is one of the best midfielders in Ligue 1 and should be a starter for us from the first day.
Mauricio Pochettino might prefer a pairing of Harry Winks with Ndombele, and Spurs already have another quality midfielder in Moussa Sissoko.
Dier had his struggles with injuries last season and even had to undergo appendix surgery. The Englishman wasn’t in great form either and it was Sissoko who did a lot of the good work in the midfield.
The 25-year-old could still be a decent cover for Ndombele, however, he hasn’t improved after a stellar season a couple of years ago.
The report adds that other stars such as Victor Wanyama, Danny Rose, Kieran Trippier and Toby Alderweireld are also facing uncertain futures at Tottenham.
Tottenham need fit players for the season ahead
Wanyama’s injuries also took a toll as our options in the midfield were limited last season.
The Kenyan is a part of his national team at the Africa Cup of Nations, and it will be interesting to see how many players we hold onto this summer.

Spurs need most of their first-teamers fresh for the majority of the season, otherwise, they will face a burnout, similar to what happened in the previous campaign.
