Spurs transfer news: Zaniolo’s agent confirms no transfer talks for Tottenham target

Calciomercato claims that Nicolo Zaniolo’s future is uncertain despite the arrival of Paulo Fonseca at AS Roma.

The outlet claims that the 20-year-old is a target for Tottenham, and the attacker has also been linked heavily with a move to Serie A champions Juventus.

However, the player’s agent explained the situation regarding the Italy international and claimed there have been no negotiations for Zaniolo.

The agent claimed that Roma have never pressed for a contract renewal with Zaniolo, and he is set to meet the new sporting director regarding the future of the star (h/t Calciomercato).

Vigorelli, the agent, then added that no talks have been held over Zaniolo by any club:

“To date, as far as we are concerned, no negotiations are underway with any international or Italian club.”

Tottenham need to sign an attacking midfielder

It will be interesting to see if we make a serious bid for Zaniolo given the agent’s quotes.

Tottenham require an attacking midfielder, and Zaniolo could be a smart signing for the future. The Italian can also play out wide, which would be a bonus under Mauricio Pochettino.
