Spurs transfer news: Oliver Skipp could be sent on loan if Tottenham sign another midfielder

The Sun reports that rising star Oliver Skipp could be sent on loan if Tottenham splash the cash on another midfielder in the summer.

Tottenham have already signed Tanguy Ndombele for a club record fee, and the report adds that Spurs are interested in Real Madrid’s Dani Ceballos.

The report claims that Skipp would get limited chances if Ceballos joins, and would have to fight for a place in the team.

Spurs already had Moussa Sissoko, Eric Dier, Harry Winks and Victor Wanyama at the end of last season, and Ndombele should be a starter in the upcoming campaign.

The Frenchman was one of the best in Ligue 1 last season and should be great for Spurs too.

Sending Skipp out on loan makes sense

The 18-year-old played 10 games for us in all competitions last season, making six appearances in the Premier League.

The youngster needs regular starts, which would be hard to come by at Tottenham next season. Skipp is one of our brightest talents and should only be sent out on loan if he is guaranteed starts.

Ceballos could be a great signing for us, and the Spaniard had a fantastic summer by helping Spain U21 win the Euros.

Spurs have also signed Jack Clarke in a busy summer, and the youngster was sent back to Leeds on loan for the upcoming season.
