Spurs transfer news: AS Roma willing to accept €25million and Alderweireld for Zaniolo
Corriere dello Sport (h/t Calciomercato) claims that Tottenham have offered €25million plus Toby Alderweireld for Nicolo Zaniolo.
The report claims that AS Roma are ready to accept the deal but the problem could be with the player’s desire to join Juventus.
The report further adds that the player wants to stay in the Serie A, and the Italian is unhappy at how Roma are being managed under new sporting director Gianluca Petrachi.
Zaniolo is one of the brightest talents in the Serie A and has already played for the national team. The 20-year-old can play either as a winger or as a central attacking midfielder, and would make a great addition to the team.
Alderweireld’s time coming to an end?
The Belgian is one of the best defenders in the Premier League, but he is out of a contract at the end of the season.
Losing the Belgian would be a blow to the team, but selling him to a foreign club is the best option in the current situation.
Spurs could do with an attacking midfielder and Zaniolo has the potential to improve further under Mauricio Pochettino.
