Spurs transfer news: Tottenham interested in Newcastle’s Martin Dubravka
The Daily Mail reports that Tottenham are interested in Newcastle goalkeeper Martin Dubravka.
The Slovakian is rated at £12million, according to the report, with Aston Villa and Manchester United also keen on the 30-year-old.
Dubravka has been one of the best players at Newcastle over the past few years but they recently oversaw the departure of Spanish manager Rafa Benitez.
The report adds that Dubravka is unsettled with Benitez’s departure, and talks over a new deal have stalled at the club.
Tottenham want more competition for Lloris
Hugo Lloris has been a great servant of the club since his move from Lyon, and the report claims that Spurs are interested in more competition for the Frenchman.
The World Cup winner has made some errors last campaign but also registered some fantastic performances that won us games.
Spurs also saw the departure of Michel Vorm once his contract expired, and we only have Paulo Gazzaniga as the cover for Lloris.
The Argentine did a great job for us when called upon and it is interesting to see us get linked with Dubravka.
The Slovakian is one of the best in the Premier League and would provide great competition for the keeper’s role under Mauricio Pochettino.

However, we could do with players for other positions too. A versatile attacker is required as cover for Harry Kane while we can do with a full-back as well.
