Spurs transfer news: Tottenham close in on Ryan Sessegnon signing

The Express claims that Tottenham are in pole position to land Fulham’s teenage sensation Ryan Sessegnon.

The 19-year-old is out of a contract at the end of next season, and the youngster is keen on leaving the Cottagers (h/t Express).

Fulham were relegated from the Premier League last season, and the report adds that Spurs see Sessegnon as a long-term successor to Danny Rose.

Spurs have allowed Rose to stay back in England, with the team participating in the Asia tour.

The 29-year-old will try to seal a move away from the club, and replacing him with Sessegnon would not be a bad deal.

Tottenham are also set to see off competition from Borussia Dortmund and Inter Milan for the English teenager (h/t Express).

Transfer fee the problem at the moment

Tottenham and Fulham cannot seem to agree on a transfer fee for the 19-year-old Sessegnon.

The report claims that Fulham want £45m for the English starlet while Spurs are prepared to pay only £25m plus add-ons for the teenager.

Sessegnon is still a little raw but he has the potential to be special. Mauricio Pochettino would have to work his magic on the Englishman, but he would be a great signing for the club.
