Latest Spurs news: Rose named in Tottenham’s Audi Cup squad
Tottenham named their 26-man squad for the upcoming Audi Cup and there was one surprise player in the list.
The English defender was left behind prior to Tottenham’s Asia tour and was allowed to search for a new club in the summer.
The Mirror claims that Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus are interested in the 29-year-old but no bid has been placed for the Englishman.
Rose’s return will be a bit of a boost to Mauricio Pochettino given that Ben Davies is recovering from surgery.
The Welsh left-back signed a long-term deal with Spurs in the summer but underwent surgery for a problem at the end of the previous campaign.
The Mirror adds that Davies is expected to be fit for the season opener against Aston Villa, and Spurs are not taking chances with the 26-year-old.
Several youngsters also named in the squad
Tottenham have taken several youngsters for this pre-season competition too, with Alfie Whiteman, Harvey White, Japhet Tanganga, Jack Roles and Anthony Georgiou joining the side.
Oliver Skipp and Troy Parrott also are travelling to Germany, but another surprise inclusion is Georges-Kevin Nkoudou.
The winger barely played for us last season, and it will be interesting to see if he leaves the club before the deadline.
