Latest Spurs news: Aurier undergoes hand surgery ahead of season
Tottenham have confirmed that Serge Aurier has undergone hand surgery due to a problem picked up at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Aurier injured his hand after hitting a table during an Ivory Coast game, and the club’s release added that the defender is participating in non-contact training.

Tottenham have Kyle Walker-Peters as the other senior right-back after selling Kieran Trippier to Atletico Madrid earlier in the window.
The English defender had his issues last season and made several mistakes at the back which were costly, but it was a surprise to see him leave.
Aurier’s injury problems limited him to just eight Premier League appearances last season.
Mauricio Pochettino would have to look at other options should Aurier’s injury record continue in the upcoming campaign.
Juan Foyth played some games at right-back last season but the Argentine is suspended for the opening two clashes.
Walker-Peters should start the season as the first-choice right-back, and it will be interesting to see how he performs.
