Latest Spurs news: Pochettino nominated for Best Men’s Coach at FIFA Football Awards 2019

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is one of the 10 nominees for the Best Men’s Coach award at the FIFA Football Awards 2019.

The release from FIFA added that fans can select their top three coaches, and eminent personalities from the footballing world would also weigh in on the voting.

The final three would be shared later, with the winner named on 23rd September in Milan.

Pochettino certainly enjoyed a great season for Spurs, leading them to the Champions League final.

We also finished in the top four and reached the semi-final of the Carabao Cup despite not making a single signing in the previous two transfer windows.

Spurs also faced several problems with players picking up injuries, and Pochettino faces a lot of competition for the title.

Fans celebrate Pochettino’s nomination

The list of nominees includes Jurgen Klopp, Pep Guardiola, Tite, Didier Deschamps, Djamel Belmadi, Fernando Santos, Marcelo Gallardo and Erik Ten Hag, all of whom have won titles in recent years.

However, none of the club managers had to deal with a lack of transfers during the previous campaign, and it will be interesting to see who ends up with the crown.
