Spurs transfer news: Aurier wanted back in France
The Sun claims that Serge Aurier is wanted by Ligue 1 clubs after he left Paris Saint-Germain to join Tottenham a couple of years ago.
The 26-
Aurier was a part of the Ivory Coast side that played in the Africa Cup of Nations and has returned to Tottenham ahead of the new season.
The report adds that Mauricio Pochettino is open to Aurier leaving the club and will look to sign another right-back before the transfer deadline.
Tottenham lack right-backs at the moment
Spurs sold Kieran Trippier early in the transfer window, with Atletico Madrid snapping up the English defender.
Juan Foyth, who can play as a right-back, is expected to miss a few weeks of the campaign after injuring his ankle in the Audi Cup.
This leaves just Kyle Walker-Peters and Aurier as the fit senior right-backs at the moment.
Losing Aurier this close to the end of the transfer window would be a problem and hopefully, we land a quality defender in place of the Ivorian.
The Ivorian hasn’t impressed regularly since his switch from Paris and has spent a lot of time out injured.

Spurs can still sell players to foreign clubs after the Thursday deadline, and it will be interesting to see what activity takes place at the club regarding transfers.
