Spurs transfer news: Palace want to sign Walker-Peters
The Daily Mail reports that Crystal Palace have entered the race to sign Kyle Walker-Peters.
Palace sold their star right-back, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, to Manchester United earlier in the transfer window and have been searching for a replacement (h/t Daily Mail).
The report claims that Palace manager Roy Hodgson was impressed by Walker-Peters during the FA Cup tie last season.
The 22-year-old has also attracted interest from Southampton as they want the Englishman to provide competition for Yan Valery.
Spurs cannot let Walker-Peters leave
Although there is interest in the right-back, Tottenham cannot allow Walker-Peters to leave now.

Juan Foyth, who can play in the role, is out for a few weeks with an ankle injury while Serge Aurier has also been linked with a move away from Spurs (h/t Daily Mail).
Walker-Peters should start the season as our first-choice right-back and selling him now would give us no time to find a quality replacement.
The Englishman started last season as the first-choice in the position but saw Trippier take over later on.
This is the chance for Walker-Peters to cement his place in the Spurs team and hopefully, he performs well once the season starts.

Tottenham have been busy in the summer, and it will be interesting to see who else we land before the end of the window later in the day.
