Spurs transfer news: Lo Celso joins Tottenham on deadline day

Tottenham confirmed the capture of Real Betis star Giovani Lo Celso on a season-long loan on transfer deadline day.

The 23-year-old Argentine enjoyed a fantastic campaign with Real Betis in the previous season and spent time with the national side during the Copa America too.

The club’s release confirmed that we have an option to make Lo Celso’s deal permanent.

Lo Celso will be wearing the number 18 shirt this season, and it will be interesting to see when he plays his first game for the club.

The Argentine bagged 16 goals from 45 games for Betis in the previous campaign, and hopefully, he enjoys a better scoring record at Spurs.

Tottenham look good for the upcoming campaign

Tottenham didn’t sign any players in the previous two windows, but this summer has been great for the club.

Lo Celso is a fantastic signing, and he should grow further under Mauricio Pochettino.

Tottenham have also looked great during their pre-season campaign and picked up wins over Real Madrid and Juventus.

Our season opener is against Aston Villa at home and we should pick up the three points easily against the newly-promoted side.

Lo Celso could be a great signing for years to come, and we should target lifting some silverware this season.
