Latest Spurs news: Pochettino opens up about managing Argentina

Mauricio Pochettino is one of the best managers in the world and has helped turn things around at Tottenham.

The Argentine joined from Southampton and has transformed us into regulars in the Champions League.

Spurs were also involved in a title race under the manager and reached the Champions League final last season.

The manager has been linked with several clubs over the years (h/t Sun), but he shared what his dream job could be.

The Argentine said that managing the national side interests him and believed that he could take up the challenge in the future (h/t Sun):

“Managing the national team comes into my dreams to be fulfilled and I have a great mental strength to fulfil my dreams in reality.”

Poch has a big job on his hands

The Argentina national team job is one of the toughest in the world as the South Americans have flattered to deceive on the international stage.

Even with the talents of Lionel Messi, Paulo Dybala, Angel di Maria and Mauro Icardi, Argentina hasn’t won a major trophy.

However, Pochettino has a big job on his hands with Spurs too. We spent big in the summer to land Tanguy Ndombele, but our season hasn’t been great so far.

The loss against Newcastle is the big result while we should be happy with two points from away trips to Manchester City and Arsenal.

The international break will provide Pochettino with more time to think about the team, and we need to defeat Crystal Palace once the players are back.
