Tanguy Ndombele highlights the key difference between the Premier League and Ligue 1
Tanguy Ndombele had an incredible impact on his debut as he scored in the win over Aston Villa.
The Frenchman then put up a quality showing in the 2-2 draw against Manchester City, however, he hasn’t featured in our last two games.
The former Lyon star picked up a slight problem and it will be interesting to see if he is back in action for Spurs after the international break.
The 23-year-old seems to have adapted well to the English game and took part in a Q+A session on Twitter.
Moussa Sissoko acted as Ndombele’s translator as the ex-Lyon star’s English isn’t the best, but he is taking classes to improve his grasp of the language (h/t Football.london).
The Frenchman then claimed that there wasn’t too much difference between his former club and Tottenham before going on to say that the Premier League is much faster than Ligue 1 (h/t Football.london):
“No between Tottenham and Lyon there’s not really a great deal of difference.
“They are both teams that play with the ball. The big difference between the Premier League and Ligue 1 is the speed.
“Here in the Premier
League it is always afast paced game. The players drive forward, but inFrance there are periods of calm. That isthe big difference.”
Spurs need Ndombele to return quickly
The Frenchman provides us with a lot of physicality in the midfield and that was missed in the 2-2 draw against Arsenal.
Spurs face Crystal Palace once the international break is done and then play Olympiakos in the Champions League.
We don’t have too many tough games in September but we open October by hosting Bayern Munich.

Ndombele could provide us with an edge against the Bundesliga giants and hopefully, he leads us to a win in this big Champions League clash.
