Jack Clarke left out of Leeds United squad in win over Barnsley
Jack Clarke was left out of the Leeds United squad for their Championship clash against Barnsley.
The 18-year-old was signed from Tottenham at the start of the summer but was sent back to Leeds for a season-long loan. It was expected that Clarke would get first-team minutes regularly under Bielsa, however, that has not been the case.
The winger hasn’t featured in any of their Championship games, and his chances in the cup competitions have been reduced after Leeds were knocked out of the Carabao Cup by Stoke City.
Bielsa’s side are leading the Championship at the moment, however, Clarke should have featured after his game-winning goal for the England U20s against Switzerland during the international break.
Fans unhappy with Clarke’s game time
The English winger will not develop if he doesn’t feature in the first-team and Bielsa does have a tough decision to make. EFL rules limit the number of on-loan players a team can name on a matchday and that has seen Clarke miss out on several games.
Tottenham
Many Tottenham fans were unhappy with the English winger’s situation at Leeds and vented their frustration on Twitter.
