More questions will be asked about Tottenham and Mauricio Pochettino after the 2-1 loss to Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.
Spurs made several changes to the team, with Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen being dropped, but familiar issues from this season cropped up.
Tottenham took the lead, with Harry Kane doing well to shoot past Kasper Schmeichel despite losing his balance.
Spurs were saved by VAR as a Leicester goal was chalked off earlier but they were also on the receiving end of a tough call.
VAR comes to City’s rescue
It seemed like we had doubled our lead, with Serge Aurier scoring with a well-taken shot, however, the goal was ruled offside by VAR due to Son Heung-min being millimetres offside.
Ricardo Pereira made us pay by slamming home the equaliser and the impressive James Maddison scored the winner late in the game. This was another story of Tottenham allowing a lead to slip away, and it has cost us in recent weeks.
The constant chopping and changing might have been needed to freshen up the team after our Greek trip, but it didn’t really work as Leicester did all the initial running.
Tottenham had given up leads to Olympiakos and Arsenal in recent weeks, and this was another disappointing result. Many fans were unhappy with the result and some targetted Pochettino after this loss to the Foxes.
