Sunderland want to sign Jack Clarke on a permanent deal from Tottenham Hotspur.

Leeds United planning winter moves after Jack Clarke heads back to Tottenham

Jack Clarke’s time at Leeds United could be coming to an end soon. The 18-year-old joined Tottenham in the summer and was sent back to Leeds for a season on loan.

However, things haven’t gone well for the winger under Marcelo Bielsa this time around. Clarke is yet to play in the Championship this season and has seen other loan signings start ahead of him.

The 18-year-old was one of the bright spots in Leeds’ promotion challenge last season, but he will be sent back to Tottenham in January, according to the Sun.

Bielsa is eyeing more recruits in the winter window to push for Premier League promotion and will send Clarke to his parent club (h/t Sun). The English winger has featured in the cup competitions for Leeds this season while the other loanees are getting more minutes on the pitch.

Tottenham to send Clarke out again?

The youngster has to gain first-team minutes and sending him out on loan again in January would make sense.

It would be difficult for him to get minutes at Tottenham, especially given the attacking talent ahead of him in the pecking order.

Spurs should ensure that the Englishman is guaranteed minutes at his next club, otherwise, his growth will stagnate.
