Eric Dier to be transfer listed by Tottenham in January
Eric Dier’s time at Tottenham could be coming to an end, with the Englishman set to
The Times (h/t Sun) reports that the 25-year-old is one of the five players who could be sold in January.
Mauricio Pochettino wants to freshen up his side with Christian Eriksen, Serge Aurier, Victor Wanyama and Danny Rose also on the chopping block (h/t Sun).
Dier had his struggles last season with injuries and a lack of form. The English midfielder fell down the pecking order after Tanguy Ndombele’s arrival and has only made three appearances for the club this season.
The 25-year-old struggled in our defeat to Brighton and his other start came in the Carabao cup exit at the hands of Colchester.
Tottenham need to make the right decisions
Dier was one of the best midfielders in the country at one point, but things haven’t gone too well for him in recent seasons.
Tottenham have options to field in the middle of the park, and it will be interesting to see if we target someone to replace the Englishman.
Oliver Skipp could get more games for us while Moussa Sissoko, Harry Winks and Ndombele could do the job under Pochettino.
Spurs have also been unlucky with Giovani Lo Celso and Ryan Sessegnon, who have missed a lot of action this season.
