“I never rule it out” – Ligue 1 attacker open to Premier League return amidst Tottenham’s £50m pursuit
Memphis Depay doesn’t rule out Premier League move amidst Tottenham links
Tottenham have been linked with a £50million move for Memphis Depay recently (h/t Football.london).
The Dutch attacker has turned his career around after leaving Manchester United and joining Lyon.
Depay is now a regular for the national side and his manager, Ronald Koeman, was open to the attacker playing for a bigger club (h/t Football.london).

Depay was asked about the Tottenham links as the Dutch are in action during the international break.
The former Manchester United spoke to Voetbal Primeur and didn’t want to speak much about the rumours (h/t Football.london):
“I don’t want to talk about that. I don’t want to talk about rumours that I know nothing about.
“We leave it in the corridors. I am focused on a strong season so far.”
Depay was pressed about playing in the Premier League, and the 25-year-old didn’t rule out a return:
“It’s a very nice competition. It’s up to the club that is interested.
“I belong in a team that plays good football and can play around me, so that I can do my thing. I never rule it out.”
Depay in fine form for Lyon
The Ligue 1 giants sold Tanguy Ndombele and Nabil Fekir in the summer, but Depay is still scoring regularly for the side.

The 25-year-old has 12 goals in all competitions for Lyon and also has nine goals for the Netherlands too.
A return to the Premier League could allow the Dutchman to show that he has improved after his United days.

“I am good where I am” – Former Premier League star rules out moving to Tottenham
Marouane Fellaini won’t be moving to Tottenham in January
Former Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini has turned down the chance to join Tottenham in January.
The 32-year-old joined Shandong Luneng from United and has impressed in his first season. The lanky Belgian has seven goals and four assists from 22 games but has been linked with Spurs (h/t Evening Standard).

Fellaini has a deal for another two years with the Chinese club and told Eleven Sports that he is in contact with Jose Mourinho (h/t Evening Standard):
“Jose is special for me.
“We text each other, we call each other from time to time.”
However, the Belgian claimed he was happy at Luneng and wished Mourinho the best:
“He’s taken over at Spurs and he’s doing well. I wish him all the best, but I am good where I am now.”
Spurs don’t have a lot of money to spend
Signing a few players in the winter window could give us the extra push we need to get into the top four.
However, the Evening Standard claims that there will be limited funds for the boss to spend when the window opens.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Bruno Fernandes will not be coming to Spurs in January, either (h/t Evening Standard).

“No one leaving in January” – Premier League manager confirms Tottenham-linked star isn’t leaving
Brendan Rodgers claims Tottenham-linked James Maddison won’t leave in January
James Maddison has been excellent for Leicester City this season. The England midfielder has helped the Foxes to second in the Premier League and has also featured for the national team.
The 23-year-old has five goals and three assists for Leicester this season and has been linked with Tottenham (h/t Football.london).
Maddison joined Leicester from Norwich City around 18 months ago, and his progress has been incredible.

However, Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers believes that none of his players will leave the club next month (h/t Football.london):
“If you’re doing well, there will always be speculation.
“The boys understand that. Maddison has started the season very well, he’s been very productive. He’s a bright young player and he’s got a bright future.
“There’ll be no-one leaving in January. Categorically.”
Tottenham’s midfield problems
Maddison could work wonders for this Spurs team as we lack goals from the midfield. Christian Eriksen is a free agent in the summer while Giovani Lo Celso hasn’t played much under Jose Mourinho.
Eriksen has struggled for consistency this season while Lo Celso hasn’t been able to cement a place under the new boss.

Mourinho has to solve this issue soon as almost half the season is already done.

Tottenham star cannot guarantee his future despite Mourinho’s arrival at club
Danny Rose can’t guarantee his future at Tottenham despite Jose Mourinho’s appointment
Danny Rose has claimed that he hasn’t spoken with Jose Mourinho since the Portuguese took over at Tottenham.
Mauricio Pochettino was replaced by the former Real Madrid and Inter Milan manager after a poor run of results.
Mourinho has turned things around for us with just two losses since taking over, however, Rose spoke about his contract situation too.

The English left-back had earlier claimed he would leave when his contract is done and suggested he would do the same (h/t Sun):
“I’ve never had a conversation with him and I don’t see why I need to.
“As I said before, I’m here for the next 18 months so I don’t see why I need to have a conversation with the manager.”
Rose added that he wants to do well with Spurs and is aiming to finish in the top four.
Rose pleased with Mourinho at club
The Englishman added that he had the pleasure of working under Pochettino, and couldn’t believe that Mourinho was our manager now:
“I never thought I would be managed by Jose Mourinho at Tottenham.
“That’s credit to the club, how well they’ve progressed throughout the years and to get someone like Jose has been obviously brilliant.”
The left-back added that he expected Mourinho to aim for the top-four and the FA Cup too, given that he is a winner.

Rose has had his struggles at the club and it will be interesting to see if he is leaving in 18 months.
Ben Davies can do a good job as the left-back and is the replacement for Rose in the current team.

Tottenham keen on 28-year-old star struggling at Real Madrid
Tottenham interested in Real Madrid’s James Rodriguez
Tottenham are interested in Real Madrid attacker James Rodriguez, according to El Chiringuito (h/t Calciomercato).
The Colombian spent two seasons on loan at Bayer Munich before returning to the Spanish capital.

Rodriguez was unable to cement a place at the Bundesliga giants and has struggled for minutes at Real too. The 28-year-old has only made four starts for the Madrid giants and is currently out with an injury.
The report claims that Napoli are also interested in the attacker and could make a move in the January window.
The Serie A giants were linked with him in January but could not meet Real’s valuation of the player (h/t Calciomercato).
A risky signing for Spurs?
The Colombian has struggled for form ever since he joined Los Galacticos after the 2014 World Cup.
Rodriguez was one of the stars in that competition, but things just haven’t gone his way since.

The attacking-midfielder is 28 already and adjusting to the Premier League isn’t a surety either. Spurs could do with more attacking options in the winter window, but a move for Rodriguez seems to be risky.
Christian Eriksen is a free agent in the summer and put in another average display at Munich.
