Jose Mourinho appointed Tottenham manager after Mauricio Pochettino’s sacking
Tottenham made the shock decision to sack Mauricio Pochettino last night.
The Argentine took us to the Champions League final in the previous campaign but this season has been poor.
We lie 11 points off the top four after just 12 games and have already been kicked out of the Carabao Cup.
Pochettino was unable to lift a trophy during his time at the club, but he made us Champions League regulars.
We have also been involved in a couple of Premier League title races with Pochettino, however, Spurs seem set to appoint a league-winning manager.
According to Sky Sports, Jose Mourinho has already been appointed as the club’s new manager.
The Portuguese has been out of a job since getting the sack at Manchester United. Mourinho, however, has remained in football as a pundit and has often been seen on Sky Sports.
A winning mentality
Mourinho’s last season with the Red Devils saw them struggle too but the Portuguese has won titles at every club he has managed.
The former Real Madrid and Inter Milan manager has lifted league titles in England, Spain, England and Portugal, while also winning the Champions League.
It will be interesting to see how things develop in the coming days we have a tough trip to West Ham on Sunday.
