Tottenham in discussions with Real Madrid over Harry Kane-Karim Benzema swap deal
There are also concerns regarding his wages as the Frenchman wants to sign a bumper contract.
The 31-year-old has spoken about wanting to become the highest-paid at Madrid, and Tottenham are not looking to give him an enormous wage (h/t Express).
The report adds that Perez will continue speaking with Spurs in hopes of landing one of the best forwards in the world.
Not a good deal for Spurs
Although Benzema has a lot of experience playing for Madrid, he has reached his peak at the club.
Kane still has a lot of potential to grow and selling him now would be a mistake.
Spurs can build a team around the Englishman, and the 26-year-old will only improve in the years to come.
Our new manager, Jose Mourinho, has worked with Benzema during his time at Real. However, the Portuguese should know the quality that Kane possesses and it will be interesting to see our plans during the winter window.
