Ryan Sessegnon will not leave Tottenham in January after Ben Davies injury
Jose Mourinho is set to keep Ryan Sessegnon at Tottenham beyond the January transfer window after the injury to Ben Davies, according to the Sun.
The Welsh defender picked up an injury in the win over West Ham and didn’t feature in our Champions League win over Olympiakos.
Sessegnon hasn’t started a game for us since joining from Fulham in the summer but is set to feature more under Mourinho now.
The report claims that Mourinho wanted to send Sessegnon away on loan for first-team experience in the winter window.
However, Sessegnon will not leave in the January window as he provides cover for Danny Rose.
Davies seems to have injured his ankle ligaments and hopefully, he is not out for long.
Time for Sessegnon to shine
The English youngster is still one of the most exciting talents in the country, despite not featuring much for us.
The 19-year-old has been hampered by hamstring injuries since joining, and it will be interesting to see when he starts for us.
Sessegnon’s last game was the 4-0 win over Red Star Belgrade, and that too was an appearance off the bench.
The youngster did record an assist in that game but needs to take this chance with both hands.
