Jose Mourinho in talks to sign Marouane Fellaini ahead of January window
Marouane Fellaini could be set for a stunning return to the Premier League less than a year after he left.
The Belgian midfielder left Manchester United to play for Shandong Luneng from February.
However, DH Net (h/t ESPN) claims that Jose Mourinho wants to sign his former midfielder for Tottenham.
The 31-year-old has already been in contact with Mourinho over the move, and the report claims he could join Spurs in the winter window.
The midfielder is known for his combative nature and is great in the air too. Fellaini has played 22 Chinese Super League games this season and has amassed eight goals and three assists.
Interesting times for Tottenham
Mourinho needs to add a few players to the team if we are to push for a Champions League place.
Fellaini was one of the most effective midfielders during his prime in the Premier League. However, he struggled during the final months of his spell at United.
It will be interesting to see if Mourinho makes a serious move for his ex-player. Fellaini would not have too many quality years left in him, and he isn’t as mobile as some of our other midfielders.

Moussa Sissoko and Tanguy Ndombele are a decent enough pairing for the midfield while the likes of Harry Winks and Eric Dier can also put in quality performances from time to time.
