Tottenham are keen on Real Madrid youngster Vinicius Junior
Tottenham are interested in securing the signature of Real Madrid’s promising 19-year-old striker Vinicius Junior.
El Desmarque (h/t The Sun) reports that Spurs, Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal are all interested in the player.
Vinicus Jr was only 16 when he made his debut for Flamengo in 2016. His performances earnt him a move to Real Madrid in 2017. He, however, had to wait until he turned 18 in 2018 to complete the transfer since that is the minimum age for an international deal.
The deal, which was worth £38million, was the second-most expensive sale of a player in the history of Brazilian football at the time (h/t Telegraph).
Vinicius Jr possesses balance, technique= and can run at defences with pace. Although primarily deployed on the left flank, he is capable of playing anywhere along the front line. His versatility should appeal to Spurs, who lack options off the bench in the attack.
Despite his slender build, the Brazilian has shown considerable strength and his ability to compete physically should hold him in good stead in the Premier League.
Vinicius Jr has made 14 appearances for Real Madrid this season, scoring 2 goals. Most of his appearances have been off the bench.
In spite of him struggling to adapt to life in Spain, it remains to be seen if Real Madrid are willing to sell him.

Vinicius Jr has been prolific for Brazil at the youth level, having scored 24 times in 33 matches across different age groups. He made his debut for the Brazilian senior team in 2019 against Peru.
