Tottenham-linked goalkeeper Alexander Nubel will join Bayern in the summer

According to Bild (h/t Sun), Tottenham target Alexander Nubel has agreed to join Bundesliga powerhouse Bayern Munich in the summer of 2020.

The German shot-stopper, who came through the youth ranks at Schalke, will leave as a free agent in the summer after the club revealed that he won’t be extending his contract with the Ruhr-based outfit. (h/t Daily Mail)

Nubel, who also happens to be the club captain, has played 17 games for Schalke this season.

Battle for a Successor

Tottenham are in need of a long-term replacement for Hugo Lloris, who is currently injured. Nubel has the right pedigree and skill to nail down the goalkeeper’s spot going into the new decade.

Unfortunately for us, German champions Bayern Munich are also in the market for a goalkeeper to replace legend Manuel Neuer, who will turn 34 before the end of the season.
