Tottenham put off by QPR’s demand of £20m for Eberechi Eze

Tottenham are interested in signing Queen Park Rangers attacking midfielder Eberechi Eze this January. (h/t Express)

The 21-year-old has scored 10 goals and provided 6 assists in 27 appearances this season for QPR.

The midfielder can play in both the No. 10 and No. 8 roles and is capable of adding dynamism and drive to the Spurs’ midfield.

Spurs have, however, been put off by QPR slapping a price tag of £20m on the English Under 21 international.

Eze made his breakthrough at QPR under Ian Holloway and his impressive performances led to new manager Steve Mclaren not only featuring the player regularly but also handing him the No. 10 shirt.

With Mourinho looking to rebuild Spurs, Eze is young and fits the profile of a hungry, quick and versatile attacker who can add an impetus from the midfield.

With Christian Eriksen’s future uncertain and Giovani Lo Celso more of a miss than a hit so far, Spurs would benefit from the 21-year old’s presence.

A good dribbler, Eze is also a capable set-piece taker, who can hit shots from distances.
