Several Tottenham fans react as Paulo Gazzaniga pulls off a penalty stunner
Tottenham Hotspur had goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga to thank as they drew 0-0 away to Watford at Vicarage road. It is now 4 games without a win for Jose Mourinho’s side as they fall further behind in the race for the fourth spot.
It was a game where the goalkeepers took centre-stage as Ben Foster stopped Lucas Moura to keep the Hornets level at the break. Tottenham almost won the game in stoppage time, only to see Erik Lamela’s strike cleared off the line by the thinnest of margins.

It could have been much worse had it not been for the 28-year-old Argentine goalkeeper. Watford were awarded a penalty in the 69th minute when a Gerard Deulofeu shot ricocheted off Jan Vertonghen’s outstretched arm.
Thankfully for the Belgian defender, Gazzaniga dived well to his right to keep out Troy Deeney’s well-struck effort after appearing to win a staring contest with the Watford striker.
It was Tottenham’s second clean sheet under Mourinho in 16 games. Spurs fans were visibly relieved at the 28-year-old’s save and took to Twitter to praise the goalkeeper.
