Shashoua is an academy graduate who has represented the Tottenham Under-18 side 19 times, scoring six goals in the process.

The 19-year-old midfielder was also the captain of the Under-18 side and holds the distinction of being the first player to lead a Spurs side out at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium.

The loan move will reunite Shashoua with his brother Samuel, who is also on loan at Baleares until the end of the season. Samuel joined the Segunda side in August and has been central to the side’s push for promotion. (h/t Tottenham Hotspur)

Although it’s the second division, it will be a step up from the Under-18 level and will provide a good test for the young midfielder to grow. Adjusting to a foreign country and league will also be a good test for Shashoua’s resolve and temperament.
