Tottenham keen on signing 9-goal La Liga striker worth £21 million
Tottenham in talks with Real Sociedad for Willian Jose
Tottenham Hotspur are in talks with Real Sociedad for Brazilian striker Willian Jose.
The clubs are currently locked in negotiations with the clubs £11million apart in valuation. Tottenham’s offer of £10million falls well short with Real Sociedad holding out for £21million. (h/t Guardian)
The 28-year-old striker has made 21 appearances for Sociedad this season, scoring nine goals. (h/t Whoscored)

The forward is keen on a move to Tottenham and was not part of the Sociedad squad that played Espanyol in the Copa Del Rey. It was confirmed by the club that the player had asked to be withdrawn until the situation regarding his transfer is clarified.
Tottenham are without a specialist striker following the injury to Harry Kane. At the age of 28, Willian is nearing the latter half of his career. He could act as an effective and experienced option off the bench.
For now, the fee is a sticking issue and whether a deal can be agreed upon before the window closes remains to be seen.
